We don't think you can understand what frontier AI can and can't do without working with it every day.
What makes AI useful in knowledge work is context: what it knows about the people, the work and the field. That context compounds, and what is gathered from an organisation's first days is the richest foundation there is. So we built Dot from the start.
Dot draws on what the studio knows and does, and watches developments across the ecosystem. It has two kinds of memory: the Chronicle, a running record captured automatically, and the Canon, a smaller set of documents curated with the team. Much of its most important work is moving insights from the first to the second. It works within boundaries we set, and what it holds is ours.
It is early. Like a colleague on their first day, Dot has a lot to learn, and it is teaching us how to work with agentic AI in the process.
